When I think of peels, I remember how a friend of mine got a chemical peel and was looked upon piteously by onlookers who assumed she was a burn victim. I seriously wondered if there is such a thing as a gentle peel that isn’t full of toxic chemicals. So when Beautycounter came out with a clean resurfacing peel, I was nervously optimistic. And now, after using this product for over a year, I can safely say that I am a RAVING FAN of Beautycounter Counter+ Overnight Resurfacing Peel.

When Beautycounter announced that they were introducing a clean facial peel, I wondered if that was even a thing that could be done. I mean, all one has to do is Google ‘dangers of chemical peels’ to find out just how crazy toxic peels can be. But, knowing that Beautycounter has always held themselves to the highest safety standards, I gave it a try.

My Beautycounter Counter+ Overnight Resurfacing Peel Review
I can still remember the first time I tried this product. How, you might ask, do I still remember an event as arbitrary as applying peel before bed, that happened over two years ago? Simple. It was my reaction to my complexion when I woke up. That morning, I stumbled into the bathroom flicked on the lights and caught my reflection in the mirror. I was SHOCKED. My skin was glowing! The tiny little bumps on my cheekbones were gone. The dullness in my typically dry cheeks was gone. I was stunned. I looked pretty dang good. Here’s what I love.
The lightweight texture
I love the way this serum goes on. It glides on effortlessly and a little goes a long way. I personally typically use one dropper full. And that is plenty.
The environmentally conscious packaging
Beautycounter has gone to some great lengths to make their packaging more environmentally friendly. I love the recyclable glass container.
The tingles
Okay, for some this may be considered a negative but I personally love it. Seconds after applying the formula, there is a bit of tingling. To me, it lets me know that it’s working. And I definitely wouldn’t describe it as a burn. The tingling only lasts for a little bit.

The results of using Beautycounter Counter+ Overnight Resurfacing Peel
I’ve used the peel several times a week in the evenings for the last 2 years. That is more than enough time to draw some conclusions. As I said earlier, I was absolutely shocked by the results, and so I’m very excited to share those results with you here.
From the very first use, my skin looked younger. The dry, dull surface of my skin had been replaced with smooth, youthful looking, glowing skin.
I have been asked if it helped with brown spots over time. I’m not sure it did. My entire face seemed to get brighter over time, but I still have my sun spots.
I would also add that it is very gentle for a peel. I have very sensitive skin. My cheeks can get super red and irritated. I love that even I can use this peel.
